“I just spent a ridiculous amount of time looking for an old 401(k). Why isn’t there a place where I can just enter my info and see all my 401(k)s?!!!” - Mary
Beagle is the place.

Why did people lose track of their 401(k) login’s?

  1. They have too many 401(k) accounts. People change jobs way more often than before. The average job tenure is 2 - 3 years and each new job comes with a new 401(k) account.
  2. A lot of the 401(k) plans were automatically enrolled so some employees had no idea they were enrolled in the first place.
  3. People sometimes registered their 401(k) accounts using their work emails. Then they couldn’t retrieve their 401(k) login’s after they left the job.
  4. People move a lot and change their names when they get married, which makes it difficult to verify their identities because their old 401(k) plans were under the previous addresses and names.
  5. If your 401(k) balance is less than $5,000, your old employer can transfer your 401(k)s to an automatic rollover IRA account after you leave the job, without you having to approve.
